Painting presents itself to me as a product of the esthesia of the act of being present. Being present in comings and goings around the city the landscape is sometimes the protagonist and walking through it I interpret it as an organism, which breathes, eats, and grows. Griffons on walls, new buildings, electronic towers, and houses with clotheslines in front, are small traces of ways of life, of the urbanization of the city, of the relationship between the people who live there and among a thousand fictions that we can create by connecting the clues that the visual elements give us away. The paintings present here are, among other things, the imagery record of some landscapes that happened one day, and then happened differently on another, but never “dawned” the same as before.

The exhibition POSTALS, displays paintings as a cross-section of the landscapes that crossed the places where the artist Sara Costa passed. In its creation process, the iconographic element was often perfected, through biographical records carried out by artist in photographs that soon more if would transform in
your landscapes visuals. The performance of cycling as one of the main exercises during his departure from the studio produced painting in different places that throughout his career he developed a want/do that built his imaginary and ecstatic science provided by the experience of looking /see everyday scenes: The concrete of the buildings mixed between the green vegetation of the trees amid tones of yellow of the ipês trees of Juazeiro do Norte, under, the blue when looking at the sky, the sea, the clouds, between lights and colors; of course In this way, it does not deny the impressionist effort to eternalize present moments in their works.
Taking advantage of abstraction, as in the artist's words, “is not an objective result of the landscape itself, but of the way it enters me, and how I can materialize it with my material resources”.

The landscape pursues me all the time (or do I pursue it?) it surrounds me, frames me. In the words of philosopher Anne Cauquelin: "your perception is evidence, an implicit injunction, it is given, presented to the senses, as a fruition, a rest". The truth of the landscapes below is as important as their harmonies of color, their "rest" and "enjoyment". Both qualities are implicit in each of them. I will then transform these truths, these forms and these colors into something that I can keep, my effort is to abstract this surrounding landscape, feel it with all my senses, let myself absorb it.
So every result of transformation, a product from outside that feeds me, I have nothing to blame or deserve, from I just transform.
